For those of you eagerly awaiting the upcoming eighth installment in the Star Wars franchise, we’ve got some good news for you — and also some bad.

The good news is that Star Wars: Episode VIII is still slated for a 2017 release; the bad news is you’ll have to wait a full seven months longer than originally thought until the movie hits theaters.

In an attempt to replicate the massive box office success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Episode VIII has been pushed back from its initial Memorial Day weekend release to 2017’s holiday season, according to reports from Disney insiders via The Hollywood Reporter. It is currently set to open on December 15, 2017.

But for those of you who love franchises that never seem to die, fear not: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales has been pushed up from its old July 7 release date to Star Wars‘ initial opening of May 26, 2017, instead.

It’s a decision that makes sense: Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which was released on December 18, 2015, has so far grossed over $1.8 billion dollars. The movie broke Avatar’s domestic record after amassing a hefty $760.50 million in sales in only 20 days. Avatar does, however, maintain its highest grossing sales lead of over $2.87 globally, a record that’ll be tough to beat.

Box office experts predict Star Wars: The Force Awakens will gross anywhere from $2.2 billion to $2.4 billion worldwide upon completion of its theatrical run, earning it the No. 2 slot of highest grossing film of all time.
